The Devin Kennedy Foundation
Supporting people who are overlooked.
Challenging systems that fail them.
We advocate for survivors, children, and underserved communities through education, public awareness, and support, guided by a belief that everyone deserves safety, dignity, and a voice.
How we work
Education. Awareness. Support.
Education
We explain what happened, how the system works, and what people can do, in plain language with every fact sourced.
Public awareness
We put cases officials would rather close quietly in front of the public, and give people the names, numbers and words to demand answers.
Support
We stand with families who are fighting for the truth, and point people toward help that actually reaches them.
Who we stand with
The people systems overlook
Everyone deserves safety, dignity, and a voice.

Devin Kennedy
Accountability journalist. Entrepreneur. Mother.
"I started this because I kept watching the same thing happen. A child dies, a case gets closed, and the family is left reading about it in the comments. Nobody hands them the record. So we do."
Devin Kennedy is an accountability journalist whose work, published under @itsdevinkennedy, reaches hundreds of thousands of people with one rule: every claim comes from court records, verified reporting, or primary government documents. She built The Released Record, a public index of what released court files establish about named public figures, and brings that same discipline to every case the foundation takes on.
Before journalism she built and ran businesses, and she still does. That is where the foundation's impatience comes from: a problem gets a plan, a plan gets a deadline, and the people in power get a phone number.
She founded The Devin Kennedy Foundation in 2026 to put that work behind the people systems overlook, starting with the families in Mississippi who are still waiting for answers.
Support the work
Keep the cases open
This work is slow and unglamorous. It means reading hundreds of pages of reports, chasing records, and staying with a family's case long after the news moves on. Support from people like you keeps that going.
Can't give? Share a case or make one call from the action list. That matters just as much.
Opens PayPal to The Devin Kennedy Foundation. Any amount helps.
What your support pays for
- Public records requests and the fees that come with them
- Independent experts who can review autopsies and evidence
- Travel to stand with families at hearings, vigils and meetings with officials
- Keeping every page free, sourced and up to date
Our promise
Money given to the foundation funds this work. It is never collected in a family's name. If you want to help a family directly, give to the fund that family has confirmed as their own.
The foundation is not yet a registered nonprofit, so gifts are not tax-deductible. We will say so plainly until that changes.
Safety, dignity, and a voice for everyone
